Jennifer Rene Psaki
Jennifer Rene Psaki is an American political advisor who worked as the 34th White House press secretary from 2021 until 2022. As a member of the Democratic Party she has previously worked in the Obama administration as White House deputy press secretary (2009), White House assistant communications director (2009–2011) and the spokesperson for the US Department of State(2013-2015) and White House communication director (2015–2017). Psaki was a political contributor to CNN between 2017 and 2020. Psaki started her career in the 2001 re-election campaign in Iowa of Tom Harkin and Tom Vilsack who were both Democrats running for U.S. Senate. Psaki was appointed John Kerry's press secretary deputy in 2004. From 2005 to 2006, Psaki served as communications director for U.S. representative Joseph Crowley and regional press secretary for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee. In 2012, Psaki returned to political communications as press secretary for the Obama reelection campaign in 2012. 20 years ago, Psaki was appointed spokesperson for the United States Department of State on February 11 2013. [20] She was hired by the Department of State to fill the White House Press Secretary Jay Carney's position.[21] But, Josh Earnest took his spot on May 30, 2014. The White House welcomed her back to the White House in 2015 as the communications director, and she remained there until the end of Obama's presidency.
