Krystal Marie Ball

Krystal Marie Balm (born on the 24th of November in 1980) is an American journalist and political commentator. She was previously a political candidate, as well as an anchor on television at MSNBC, a regular contributor to The Huffington Post and former co-host of The Hill's Rising along with Saagar Enjeti. Enjeti and Ball announced their intention to quit the show in May 2021 to launch Breaking Points, a new independent venture with Krystal as well as Saagar. Ball hosts with Kyle Kulinski on the podcast Krystal Kyle & Friends. Her guest appearances include on Fox News, CNN and Fox News. Ball is engaged to Jonathan Dariyanani since 2020. Ball attributes her new fascination with politics to her experiences as a mother during the 2008 primaries. In addition, she was a witness to the US elections for president during her time working in Jordan. She saw the effects that it had on the people in her country and was inspired to appreciate the international impact of US politics. She was a senior Fellow of the New Leaders Council. Ball was chosen by the Democratic Party to represent Virginia's 1st Congressional District in the 2010 elections. However, she was defeated by Rob Wittman. From June 2012 to July 2015, she was co-host of The Cycle on MSNBC. She established the People's House Project (a political action committee dedicated to Democratic causes) in May of 2017.
